Marina d’Empuriabrava offers a privileged location to explore the Costa Brava by boat. Here are several routes to the north and south, ideal for enjoying coves, landscapes and unique activities.

HEADING NORTH

La Punta and Roses Beaches

Less than 2 miles from the Marina, these beaches are protected from north winds and swells, ideal for anchoring and enjoying a quiet swim.

Canyelles Petites and L'Almadrava

Perfect for spending the day, with restaurants accessible by boat or cab.

Parque Natural del Cap de Creus (Costa Sur)

(South Coast)

From Punta Falconera, the largest natural park in Europe begins. The following coves are accessible by sea:

Cadaqués and Port Lligat

Approximately 12 nautical miles away, Cadaqués is a picturesque village sheltered from southerly winds, ideal for anchoring under the lighthouse.

HEADING SOUTH

Sant Martí d'Empúries and Rec beach

At 8 miles from Empuriabrava, next to the ruins founded by the Phoenicians in the 6th century BC, it is an excellent place to anchor with southerly winds.

Montgó Cove

Past the port of l’Escala, this cove offers accessible restaurants in auxiliary, being a good place to anchor and spend the day.

Ferriol Cove and Pedrosa Cove

Continuing south, these coves offer tranquility and natural beauty.

Medes Islands Submarine Reserve

12 miles south of Empuriabrava, in front of the port of l’Estartit, is this archipelago and underwater reserve, ideal for scuba diving and to enjoy the marine fauna with goggles and fins.

General Tips

Navigation: Motorboats are recommended for long distances and sailboats for shorter distances.

Paying buoys: In some coves, such as those in the Cap de Creus Natural Park, pay buoys are available in high season.

3.

Restaurants: In coves such as Cala Pelosa and Cala Jòncols, there are restaurants offering service on board or ashore.
