In the early morning of July 5, 2026, a fire broke out on a boat moored at a private berth in the Port Salins area.
The incident involved a motor vessel of about 14 meters in length.
After receiving the warning, the emergency protocols were immediately activated and the Local Police, Firefighters of the Generalitat, Maritime Rescue and the Medical Emergency System (SEM) were mobilized. All services acted in a coordinated manner to extinguish the fire, ensure the safety of the environment and minimize any possible impact on the area.
Port personnel actively collaborated with the emergency corps, providing support in all necessary tasks and subsequently installing containment barriers to prevent possible environmental impacts in the channel. These barriers will remain in place until the vessel can be removed from the water.
The incident did not cause any casualties or injuries and no intervention by the medical services was required.
