The Empuriabrava Marina wraps up the summer with a season marked by high levels of boating activity and a constant flow of boats. Empordà TV toured the port facilities to get a firsthand look at how the season went and the activity at the harbor entrance.
The tour began in the area with the cranes and the gas station and continued to the outer edge of the harbor entrance, where participants were able to observe maritime traffic and the operation of the entry and exit checkpoints.
The manager, Lluc Puig, described the summer as “very intense” and highlighted the improvements made this year to the technical and personnel controls at the harbor entrance. These updates are designed to enhance safety both at the port’s entrance and exit and along the entire 23-kilometer stretch of navigable channels in the Empuriabrava Marina.
But the harbor mouth is much more than just an entrance and exit for boats. During the summer, this spot also becomes a gathering place and recreational hub for the marina, offering dining options, live music, and spectacular views.
At dusk, the sunset becomes one of the main attractions of the harbor entrance, with the Bay of Roses as a backdrop and an atmosphere that makes this corner of Empuriabrava one of the most unique spots in the marina.
A summer packed with activities that once again highlights the role of the port and the harbor entrance as areas linked to nautical tourism, recreation, and the municipality’s economic activity.
